Life in Provo is going great. I am really enjoying my nursing classes and the other classes I’m in. I love work. I really enjoy the patient interaction that I get. It’s also great to watch the nurses and picture myself as them in 3 years. The only problem with work right now is that census is so low. We can’t keep enough patients on the floor to keep all of the employees on. The only thing that has kept me at work all week is that we have a patient who needs one-on-one care. That’s my job. Sitting in her room while she sleeps. I’ve helped her three times this week. We’re hoping for lots of surgeries this week leading into the dead thanksgiving week.
The most exciting thing in my life right now is that I am dating someone. We started dating just over a week ago. His name is Brian Wright. He is from Judy Cannon’s ward in California. Both Judy and Bob told Brian at church within 5 minutes of each other that he should ask me out. He decided to take them up on it. We went on several dates and now we’re dating. He’s an amazing guy. He is so sweet to me. He returned home from a Mission in Honduras this past summer. He’s awesome.

So.. I decided to start writing again. I’m not sure what all will be put here on my blog, but we’ll see! I just felt like writing right now. I’m currently working on homework and am having a really hard time focusing on it. I’m trying to summarize a scholarly microbiology paper. It’s just too much over my head!
It’s week 2 of this new semester of school. I finally got into the nursing program! This semester is kind of a dead semester though.  We don’t get to start any of the fun hands on stuff until next semester. This semester we just learn how assess a patient/client’s basic health, but only get to do the assessments on eachother. Next semester we will go into nursing homes and use our skills there. This semseter I am also taking intro to microbiology-hence the paper I’m trying to summarize, pathophysiology, first 1/2 D&C, and I’m also the TA for a food prep lab. Overall, these classes keep me busy.
I am also working 18 hours a week at UVRMC as a nurse assistant on a Med/Surg floor. It’s lots of fun. I really enjoy working. It’s great work experience for nursing!

It’s a strange feeling to leave Jerusalem. I’m not sure I’m excited about it. I have loved my semester here so much. It has truly helped me grow in so many ways. I am so grateful for all that I have learned and seen. I am so blessed to have been here. I love the Jerusalem Center.Â
We leave around 7pm and take off from the Tel Aviv airport around 11:30pm. We land in Atlanta around 5:30am and land in SLC around 10:45am. I am not very excited for the exhaustion I am going to experience tomorrow, but I am very excited to see my family again.Â
I am so grateful for everything related to this country. I love y’all and encourage you to come to this land if you ever get the chance!

Finals are over. I just finished my New Testament final. I had my ancient near eastern studies final on Friday. It’s so nice to be done. Now I have two more days of field trips, a play day, and a pack day. Then I’m on an over-night plane home! Crazy! I can’t believe it’s so soon. Not too much has happened since my last post. Lots of school, a few mini field trips. I though I’d post some fun pictures though.

Today is our 2nd to last Shabbat! We all can’t believe it. It’s insane. We all love this city so much and we don’t want to leave it. Let’s see, where did I leave off.
Tuesday was a normal day. We had class in the morning from 8-11:15. After lunch, half the center, at least, headed out into the city. We group went to the money changer (Aladdin!) and then went shopping the Old City. I bought almost the last of what I need to buy before going home. It was a very successful day. Tuesday evening we had Enrichment. We had a number of mini classes. My class made wassail. It was so good!

Sorry that it took me so long to get this up. I’ve been busy all week. Shabbat is the best day for me to blog.
So, as I recall, I left off before talking about the talent show. My friends Bekah, Jocelyn, Kerri, Shannon, and I decided to do an act for the talent show. We named our act “Studying, Live”. Sounds thrilling doesn’t it. :) We wrote a rap-like poem that summarized the entire Old Testament. It was really fun.

This week has been an awesome week. It was almost like thanksgiving break, but not quite. We had finals Sunday and Monday and then we had 3 days of field trips. FTs are really just mobile classes, but they feel less like school.
